Constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal, the first ruler of Jaisalmer, Gadsisar Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes of Rajasthan known for its serene and peaceful environment. An epitome of beauty and Rajasthan’s ancient tradition, this lake takes you into ancient time. The entrance to the lake is through Tilon-ki-pol, a beautiful archway adorned with an idol of Lord Vishnu. Surrounded by carved Chattris, temples, shrines and the ghats, the lake presents an eye-catching view. Enjoy a boat ride, spot birds or sit on the ghat and admire the changing colors of sandstone as the sun set.
