Experience a true jungle experience during the Sinharaja Forest Reserve Tour. Home to some rare species of trees, the Singharaja Forest Reserve is the last major undistributed rainforest of primary tropical vegetation in Sri Lanka. Explore mammals, amphibians, reptiles, butterflies and insects during your visit.

This forest Reserve offers you a unique experience of exploring some rare and indigenous species of flora and fauna. Nominated as World Heritage site by UNESCO, it is a biodiversity hotspot. Encompassing an area of 21 km from east to west, and a maximum of 7 km from north to south, it is a collection of endemic species, including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. You can spot, elephants, leopards and endemic Purple-faced Langur here. This Reserve is also famous for its Birds. Nowhere else in the world but here you can see a rare phenomenon in which birds tend to move in mixed feeding flocks, invariably led by the fearless Greater Racket-tailed Drongo and the noisy Orange-billed Babbler. More than 20 species of birds inhabit this reserve. Also spot endemic Green-pit and Hump-nosed Vipers, Common Birdwing Butterfly and leeches here in this forest reserve.
