Overview
Fort Cornwallis is one of the first European structures in Penang and is the largest standing fort in Malaysia. Named after Charles Marquis Cornwallis this star-shaped fort has 10 feet high walls with a park inside. Located close to the Esplanade, next to the Victoria Memorial Clock, this fort was designed by Francis Light to protect the harbour from possible French attacks.
Description
Fort Cornwallis has its own charm. Erected in 1786, Fort Cornwallis was built with a purpose of protecting Penang against pirates, Kedah forces and French attacks. As you stepped inside the Fort, you can see various structures including a chapel, prison cells, ammunitions store, a harbor light, the original flagstaff and several cannons. Among these cannons, there is the infamous Sri Rambai a brass cannon dated back 1603. The innards of the fort have a history gallery, a handicraft and souvenir shop, and an open-air amphitheatre. Marvel at the statue of Francis Light.

Golden triangle was helpful for us to visit three different destinations in three states of India with cultural differences. It was my honeymoon trip & we booked it from Antilog vacations. We enjoyed rickshaw ride in Delhi & visited Chandni Chowk, Red fort, Jama Masjid & Qutub Minar. Taj Mahal visit was a wonderful Honeymoon gift for both of us, we spent half of our day at Taj Mahal. We were surprised by flower decoration & Honeymoon cake with royal treatment at Jaipur.

We organized a family trip for a week; it was a tour of Delhi Agra & Jaipur. This was a leisure trip for the elders but at the same time educational trip for the Children. At Delhi we visited Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Red fort & Akshardham Temple. Then we went to Agra there we visited Agra fort & Taj Mahal. On the way to Jaipur we also visited Fatehpur Sikari. Our last two days of the tour were in Jaipur, there we visited hawa mahal. Pink city, Jal Mahal & Amer fort. This tour was the result of Antilog Vacations tour planning. Thanks to Antilog for such a wonderful trip.
