Overview
The Paro Dzong is one of Bhutan's most impressive dzongs known for its classic Bhutanese architecture. Built in 1644, it was founded by Gyelchock and its full name is Rinpung Dzong, which means the fortress of the heap of jewels. Today, it houses both the monastic body and government offices, including the local courts. Perched on a steep hillside, the courtyard of the administrative section is 6m higher than the courtyard of the monastic portion. The central Tower (utse) inside the courtyard (dochey) is five storeys tall and was built to commemorate the time of the first governor (penlop) of Paro in 1649. The Eastern side of the central tower has a small lhakhang dedicated to Chuchizhey, an 11-headed manifestation of Chenresig. A Glance at the richly carved wood painted in gold, black and ochres implies how magnificent this Dzong is.

Golden triangle was helpful for us to visit three different destinations in three states of India with cultural differences. It was my honeymoon trip & we booked it from Antilog vacations. We enjoyed rickshaw ride in Delhi & visited Chandni Chowk, Red fort, Jama Masjid & Qutub Minar. Taj Mahal visit was a wonderful Honeymoon gift for both of us, we spent half of our day at Taj Mahal. We were surprised by flower decoration & Honeymoon cake with royal treatment at Jaipur.

We organized a family trip for a week; it was a tour of Delhi Agra & Jaipur. This was a leisure trip for the elders but at the same time educational trip for the Children. At Delhi we visited Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Red fort & Akshardham Temple. Then we went to Agra there we visited Agra fort & Taj Mahal. On the way to Jaipur we also visited Fatehpur Sikari. Our last two days of the tour were in Jaipur, there we visited hawa mahal. Pink city, Jal Mahal & Amer fort. This tour was the result of Antilog Vacations tour planning. Thanks to Antilog for such a wonderful trip.
