Ayahuasca is a South American entheogen brew that is taken to heal, clean and stimulate the mind, body, and spirit. Shamans have been boiling down the Ayahuasca Plant and the chacruna shrub into a portion for centuries. Tt is said that brew uncovers parts of your subconscious that will help you reconnect with your inner self. Upon arrival at the ritual place, a Shaman will briefly speak with each individual to determine the dosage that is to be given once the ceremony begins.Then he will begin the ceremony with whistles or icar followed by taking puffs of pure, strong tobacco from a wood smoking pipe. It is done to attract the spirits of the plants to help aid in the healing process. Everyone, including Shaman, will then drink their measured cups of Ayahuasca. Then comes " ritual of the purge' or vomiting, which indicates purification and cleansing of the body. After this, you will begin to feel light headed followed by a deeper awareness and perception of colors, images and a fullness of experiences.
