Overview

Pasha's Mosque is a beautiful construction of 1797 by Baba Hassane during the reign of Bey Mohamed El-Kebir. French Army occupied this mosque during their invasion of Algeria and in 1833 it was returned to the Muslims and restored by Napoleon III. Sheikh Sidi Mohamed El-Sunni Al-Mahaji was renowned as a First imam of this Mosque. This glory of the city has unparalleled architectural beauty.
