Perched high above the Jodhpur, it is one of the world’s largest private residences. Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, it was designed by renowned Edwardian architect Henry Lanchester. A perfect blend of eastern and western architectural, it has around 347-room palace at the time of its competition in 1943.
Its majestic 105 foot high cupola is influence by Renaissance, while the towers draw inspiration from Rajput tradition. The interior of the Palace follow the art deco style with impeccable furnisher’s and murals.
