Located in one of the busiest fishing harbours in Vizhinjam, near Theatre Junction, Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium is the home to rarest species of invertebrates and ornamental fishes in the world. Established in 1997 and managed by Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute here you can see lionfish, giant turtles, surgeonfish, triggerfish, piranhas and sharks along with crabs, squirrelfish, moonfish etc.

This is an artificial technique of forming pearl in which a mould of shell cement is embedded into the pearl oyster. After 2-3 month a pearl is ready.
